Age UK Hillingdon

Name: Age UK Hillingdon

Based: London Borough of Hillingdon

Website: www.ageukhillingdon.org.uk

Age is different for everyone and, of course, the challenges and the demands are different for everyone, too. At Age UK Hillingdon we are many things to many people – a source of advice, information, companionship and support.

Since we started in 1989, we have grown to provide a wide range of services to meet the needs and demands of an increasing number of older people. Our mission is to make later life better for everyone in the Borough.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our services. All our staff and volunteers are DBS checked as required and fully trained so you can be assured of a reliable, professional and caring service. We also appreciate that family members who have busy lives or perhaps do not live locally cannot always readily offer the help to their relatives that they would wish. You can be reassured that by contacting us, your relative will receive the support they need.

There are many ways we can help you or someone you may know. Our services cover Information and Advice – maximising your income, will writing; Hospital Help – while you’re in hospital and when you get home; Help at Home – such as shopping, cleaning and handyman jobs; Socialising and Staying Well groups and activities – to keep your mind and body fit and well.  There are also many ways in which you can get involved and support us.

Full details of all our services are on our website www.ageukhillingdon.org.uk

As a charity we make significant use of volunteers which not only enables us to offer our extensive range of services, but provides our volunteers with a real sense of community spirit and the knowledge that they are doing something worthwhile. We always welcome enquiries for new volunteers so please keep an eye on the website for current opportunities.

If we can help you or a friend or family member, or if you’d like to help us with our work, please contact us on 020 8756 3040 or by email enquiries@ageukhillindon.org.uk
