Girlguiding Middlesex North West

Share:

Willow Tree Centre is on a 15 acre site between Ruislip & Harefield and has a holiday house sleeping 33, a training centre, 3 campsites & outdoor activities. It is run by volunteers for Girlguiding Middlesex North West and is used by a wide range of groups including various youth groups, schools, special schools, faith groups & special interest groups as well as Girlguiding and Scout units.

We need a lot of help to keep all this running and need volunteers in the following areas:-

Marketing, fundraising, outdoor (weeding/pruning), handyman, outdoor activities, archery instructors, checkers.

Volunteers do not need to be members of Girlguiding but should support our aims and ethos & a DBS check may be carried out depending on the role.

Contact Anne Harvey via info@willowtreecentre.co.uk or ring 01923 822151

Further information on the roles

Marketing – work to promote the centre and in particular to get more midweek term time bookings.

Fundraising – to work with our existing fundraiser to apply for grants & attract donations.

Outdoor – there is a huge amount of pruning & weeding to be done. A volunteer could take responsibility for a particular area or work generally as directed by our Site Manager.

Handyman – to help our Site Manager particularly for jobs where 2 pairs of hands are needed.

Outdoor activities – somebody to do a regular check on the equipment (helmets, knee pads, games & sports equipment).

Archery instructor – should hold or be prepared to train for the Archery GB Instructor Award and commit to teaching at least 10 sessions a year for us.

Checkers – as we do not have a Site Warden each group which stays at Willow Tree is met by a checker on arrival and again on departure.
