Sue Ryder supports people with complex needs and life-threatening illnesses across the UK and internationally.
Our shop in Pinner is looking for a wide range of volunteers to help us raise as much money as possible for the work that Sue Ryder does.
An all-round retailer, familiar with all the day to day aspects of running the shop, you’ll take charge in the absence of a Manager or Assistant Manager. With your organised approach pride in taking responsibility and consistent way of working you’ll be involved in stepping up to:
- opening and closing the shop
- opening the till at the start of the day and checking the float
- serving customers
- answering the phone
- dealing with stock donations
- cashing up the till
- supporting other volunteers.
Using your customer service skills and ability to stay calm under pressure you’ll provide a service with a smile. Behind the till, you’ll keep focussed and friendly processing payments, packing goods, and spotting opportunities to upsell – making sure customers leave wanting to come back.
Do you have a clean licence and customer service at heart?
As part of the team of drivers you’ll combine your good driving with your polite and friendly disposition to collect furniture, boxes of bric-a-brac and bags of clothing, providing an efficient and courteous collection service to our donors. Some lifting may be involved.
Are you physically fit, friendly and able to find your way around? Teaming up with our drivers you’ll use your map reading and customer service skills to help collect furniture, boxes of bric-a-brac and bags of clothing, providing an efficient and courteous collection service to our donors. Some lifting may be involved.
We are also in desperate need of good quality furniture, which we will come and collect from you.
